Podcast Evaluation

I have met the aims of the brief in terms of the audience, topic and format set by Culture East. The targeted audience for culture East is originally targeted for teenagers. For my adaptations my target audience changed for adults and government governors. My podcast is over 5 minutes and has a lot of content such as interviews with two different people about the attack. The process of editing took around an hour as there was a lot things I needed to edit out as the audio was over 20 minutes. I used background music, which consisted of sad music to link with the feelings of the mood.

My podcast fits with my original plan as my plan never changed. The reason why I decided to talk about the Grenfell attack is because so much people lost everything, I felt like I needed to talk about my thoughts and feelings due in this podcast. There has been so much attacks this year already and it is important that people know about them.

The strengths of my podcast is that I included my interview’s in my podcast. This is important as it shows the audience different perspectives of the attack and how other people feel and think afterwards. Other strengths that I used was the introduction as I included the main information of the attack. This is also important because people who don’t know about the attack will understand. Sad music played in the background is important as well because it makes the audience relate with the podcast. For example I used sad music to go with my audio as it will make the audience feel depressed and have sympathy for the victims.


Improvements that I could make is less stuttering, as at first I sounded really nervous which isn't good as it will make the audience feel uncomfortable and confused as well. I also felt that I could’ve used sound effects, for example in the interviews to make it sound like we were outside.

 I have cut out a lot of irrelevant sound for examples mistakes that I have made.
Here I am moving a file as it didn't sound right where it was.


 Here I have made the audio smaller to create a gap in the podcast for where I am going to place music.

The discussion that we previously had done wasn't very useful as we didn't discuss other ways that our campaign can help bullying and what we thought of it.
