Podcast Evaluation

Podcast Evaluation I have met the aims of the brief in terms of the audience, topic and format set by Culture East. The targeted audience for culture East is originally targeted for teenagers. For my adaptations my target audience changed for adults and government governors. My podcast is over 5 minutes and has a lot of content such as interviews with two different people about the attack. The process of editing took around an hour as there was a lot things I needed to edit out as the audio was over 20 minutes. I used background music, which consisted of sad music to link with the feelings of the mood. My podcast fits with my original plan as my plan never changed. The reason why I decided to talk about the Grenfell attack is because so much people lost everything, I felt like I needed to talk about my thoughts and feelings due in this podcast. There has been so much attacks this year already and it is important that people know about them. The strengths of my podcast is t

Script (Introduction music) Hello everyone, thank you for listening to today’s podcast. It’s the 21st June, the sun’s out but people aren’t. In this year alone there have been so many terrorist attacks that I can't even count. What I want to talk about today is one of the recent attacks that happened in Kensington. (Incidental music) On the 14th of june last week, Grenfell Tower caught on fire. The building was a 24 storey, 220-foot high tower block of council housing flats in North Kensington, West London. The building was critically damaged by fire, with a high number of casualties. The incident has been investigated by metropolitan police service, they have said that 74 people are ‘missing’ seemingly dead. Each day more and more people are found. At the moment it is presumed over 79 deaths have been made. People have said it is the deadliest fire England has been witnessed in more than 100 years. The attention of the fire, was reported to emergency services

Evaluation

I have made sure that my articles links to the brief as I firstly made sure that I my article targeted teenagers as Culture East is aimed for teenagers. My adaptations were for two different target audiences which were, for adults and for government governors. I have used pull quotes, big letters for the first letter on the article. I have used relevant images at the right of my page. In the example above I used an interview for my article, where I explain that Culture East is having a composition for people to explain their story of youth clubs closing down and how they felt. I also used a link at the end for the consumer to interact with petitions online. I feel that there wasn't anything else to include as I used a lot of content that a DPS normally consist of. I feel that my article explained how much the boy feels about the youth clubs closing down and how it affects his youth. I also felt that this relates to my plan as I wanted to talk about the youth in East London.

How do you feel, knowing that thousands of children across the UK are left to feel neglected from the impact of their Youth Clubs Closing down? Children have undivided attention from members of staff 6 days week. Each day the children have many facilities to look forward to for example: ·          cooking different types of dishes ·          playing computer games such as Play station ·          many Arts and crafts activities ·          Sports such as football. The reason why Youth clubs close down is normally for government cuts;

Two of my Article drafts

Article 1 – main (teenagers) My name is Emily and this is my story Recently, Culture East have organised a competition for teenagers to open up and share their personal stories about their experiences with youth clubs. This is Emily Davis, she is one of the fortunate winners, who got to speak up about her feelings and experience. I hope you like it. My name is Emily, and I volunteer as a youth worker at Nottingham Youth club. I’m 19 years old and this is my story. I’m happy I got to do what I love at such a young age, because I know a lot of children my age are not as privileged as me. That’s why I do it. I help children that need that extra help. I’m an ex member of Nottingham Youth club. My life never started out so good. At the age of seven I was diagnosed with dyslexia, I found it hard to go to school and concentrate because of the fact that I couldn’t spell easy words such as ‘shop’ or park’. Throughout my school life I was picked on, called all the names under the sun. B
