Proposal

Both of my articles are going to be about Youth clubs in East London closing down and creating problems for the youths; as youth clubs have helped thousands of children on the streets causing trouble. My articles will link back to target audiences as the name Youth Clubs is named after Youths; there are a lot of Youths that have closed down in East London. The target audience is teenagers and Youth Clubs as the majority of members at Youth Clubs are teenagers.

There are a lot of different purposes for both of my articles. The articles are to inform awareness to people who will be reading them as they will explain to people how Youth Clubs have changed people’s lives. The articles will educate readers the basic information about Youth Clubs, how it isn’t fair that they are closed down. The articles will entertain people who agree with Youth Clubs staying open to help the Youth of East London. They will also entertain people who care about the youths of East London as they are the next generation of the world and what they say and think will matter. My articles will provide a service for the youth of East London as people care about how they will turn out in the future. My article will hopefully persuade audiences to consider the general idea of Youth Clubs and the main purpose; as it is to help the Youth’s stay out of trouble.

The platform’s that I am going to use for my articles are; for my first article is going to be published on a E-zine as I feel a lot of teenagers nowadays view contents of the media digitally on E-zine’s, instead of wasting money buying a magazine. The second article is going to be published on a Snapchat Story article (discover page) as I also feel the younger generation are more interactive with social media such as snapchat than the older generation, so this will gain a desired audience. This links back to my target audience as both of the platforms are connected with the younger generation.


The length of my first article is going to be a double paged spread, with also a video of an interview attachment as it will have a lot of content about Youth Clubs. The length of my second article is going to be a short video (probably 10 seconds) of people holding up signs that read ‘Youth Clubs to Rescue’. The images that I am going to use in my articles are pictures of abandoned Youth Clubs that still standing, Youth Clubs that are still running and also images of people that work/volunteer at Youth Clubs and member of Youth Clubs. The graphics that I am going to use in my articles are master heads (titles, subtitles).  The interactive elements that I am going use in my articles is interviews of members of the youth club on how they felt about youth clubs closing down. The interview is going to be at least two minutes long.

The discussion that we previously had done wasn't very useful as we didn't discuss other ways that our campaign can help bullying and what we thought of it.
