You can access digitally published products any time you need there isn't any restrictions for digitally published products. Technology has advanced so much that mobile phones come with subscribed articles/magazine content on their devices. This is convenient to the user as the user doesn't have to waste money on hardback version. Users can subscribe to numerous digitally published products online for free, it is also reliable because if the user loses any device they can always get their content on other devices with their account, for example The Kindle, the main important aspect of this is that users can comment their feedback on websites to interact and feel involved. Whereas you can't do that on hardback versions. More and more people are getting involved with the products, this gains a benefit for both users and producers as the producers are getting a better income and users are feeling more interactive.
The purposes of different digital publishing products all have a different meanings as they have different uses for each individual.
E-zine are designed for people who love reading magazine. They are designed to be read online/apps. There are different purposes for e-zine’s, it depends on what the e-zine is aiming for. It can be to inform, to educate, to entertain, to help. For example a fashion magazine is aimed to entertain and to educate consumers due to the different fashion trends that are taking place. Some magazines are formal such as Vogue because it is targeted at a specific audience. Gossip magazine tend to be informal as it makes the reader feel like they are having a ‘chat’ with the magazines.Poster adverts are designed for people who love watching films. They are designed to inform viewers about recent film release. They are normally passive adverts as film companies want to promote their films and attract different audiences. CD/DVD covers are designed to promote music and films and they to entertain consumers. For example a Beyonce CD cover will consist of her on the front cover. Online leaflets/ introduction manuals are designed to inform and educate as people normally use them for help or advice. For example a construction manual to put a buggy together is to inform audiences. E-books are designed for consumers to read book online or on a app. They are designed to inform, educate and to entertain. They have a multi purpose. Designers have even produced their own device for people to buy books. The device is called Kindle. It is linked with amazon and that's where consumers buy their content. It is good for consumers as they don't need storage in their home, everything is stored online.
Altogether over the past year published products have become more electronic than ever. It means more people are interactive with the products. This gains a better income for producers. In years to come traditional publishing might not even exist anymore.
