Evaluation

I have made sure that my articles links to the brief as I firstly made sure that I my article targeted teenagers as Culture East is aimed for teenagers. My adaptations were for two different target audiences which were, for adults and for government governors. I have used pull quotes, big letters for the first letter on the article. I have used relevant images at the right of my page. In the example above I used an interview for my article, where I explain that Culture East is having a composition for people to explain their story of youth clubs closing down and how they felt. I also used a link at the end for the consumer to interact with petitions online. I feel that there wasn't anything else to include as I used a lot of content that a DPS normally consist of. I feel that my article explained how much the boy feels about the youth clubs closing down and how it affects his youth. I also felt that this relates to my plan as I wanted to talk about the youth in East London. ...

Two of my Article drafts

Article 1 – main (teenagers) My name is Emily and this is my story Recently, Culture East have organised a competition for teenagers to open up and share their personal stories about their experiences with youth clubs. This is Emily Davis, she is one of the fortunate winners, who got to speak up about her feelings and experience. I hope you like it. My name is Emily, and I volunteer as a youth worker at Nottingham Youth club. I’m 19 years old and this is my story. I’m happy I got to do what I love at such a young age, because I know a lot of children my age are not as privileged as me. That’s why I do it. I help children that need that extra help. I’m an ex member of Nottingham Youth club. My life never started out so good. At the age of seven I was diagnosed with dyslexia, I found it hard to go to school and concentrate because of the fact that I couldn’t spell easy words such as ‘shop’ or park’. Throughout my school life I was picked on, called all the names under the sun. B...

Proposal

Proposal Both of my articles are going to be about Youth clubs in East London closing down and creating problems for the youths; as youth clubs have helped thousands of children on the streets causing trouble. My articles will link back to target audiences as the name Youth Clubs is named after Youths; there are a lot of Youths that have closed down in East London. The target audience is teenagers and Youth Clubs as the majority of members at Youth Clubs are teenagers. There are a lot of different purposes for both of my articles. The articles are to inform awareness to people who will be reading them as they will explain to people how Youth Clubs have changed people’s lives. The articles will educate readers the basic information about Youth Clubs, how it isn’t fair that they are closed down. The articles will entertain people who agree with Youth Clubs staying open to help the Youth of East London. They will also entertain people who care about the youths of East London as t...

Secondary Research

Facts and figures Many Youth clubs have been closed down because of government cuts; the government can't afford to provide services for them as they consist of alot of funding and facilities. As a result of Youth clubs being shut down many youth's have turned to the streets; crime has increased at a high percentage from the youth's.  Half of East London's children live in poverty. Children that don't go to youth clubs have nothing else to do than cause trouble e.g. crime. Youth clubs are closing down more rapidly and children are lost and need help, going into the right direction. A Youth club in Cambridge road, Bethnal Green was shut down to create the building for Tower hamlets Sixth Form College; three children that attended that Youth club made protested for months and raised concerned.  As a result of this the Youth club has now been replaced at another location. The older members received an award from ...
