Proposal

Proposal Both of my articles are going to be about Youth clubs in East London closing down and creating problems for the youths; as youth clubs have helped thousands of children on the streets causing trouble. My articles will link back to target audiences as the name Youth Clubs is named after Youths; there are a lot of Youths that have closed down in East London. The target audience is teenagers and Youth Clubs as the majority of members at Youth Clubs are teenagers. There are a lot of different purposes for both of my articles. The articles are to inform awareness to people who will be reading them as they will explain to people how Youth Clubs have changed people’s lives. The articles will educate readers the basic information about Youth Clubs, how it isn’t fair that they are closed down. The articles will entertain people who agree with Youth Clubs staying open to help the Youth of East London. They will also entertain people who care about the youths of East London as t

Secondary Research

Facts and figures Many Youth clubs have been closed down because of government cuts; the government can't afford to provide services for them as they consist of alot of funding and facilities. As a result of Youth clubs being shut down many youth's have turned to the streets; crime has increased at a high percentage from the youth's.  Half of East London's children live in poverty. Children that don't go to youth clubs have nothing else to do than cause trouble e.g. crime. Youth clubs are closing down more rapidly and children are lost and need help, going into the right direction. A Youth club in Cambridge road, Bethnal Green was shut down to create the building for Tower hamlets Sixth Form College; three children that attended that Youth club made protested for months and raised concerned.  As a result of this the Youth club has now been replaced at another location. The older members received an award from the Mayor of Tower Hamlets fo

There isn't traditional dress codes for my articles as I can't control what people wear. They will be wearing normal casual wear such as tracksuits/jeans/tops and trainers. 3.  As I am going to be interviewing people from Youth Clubs; I am going to interviewing Youth Club workers.  4.  The props that I am going to use is; a camera, recording device (Voice memos on my phone) and a tripod. 1

Production Diary 2&3

Today we came up with our final idea. The final idea for our advert is using my brother as the actor. the narrative is for him to eat a chocolate to make him smarter. After having a team meeting and also speaking to Vanessa our teacher; we also decided that the advert is going to be filmed at the location of my house as my brother is the main character. We also completed some pre production task: risk assessment, mise-en-scene, group roles and booking's, the script and most of the storyboard.

Script for Chocolog advert

Script for Chocolog advert Scene 1: ‘Mother’ is introduced to the audience, but the person’s voice is only heard. The audience cannot see the speaker. ‘Mother’: “Brian, come and do your homework” Brian sits at the table and is stuck with his maths homework as he never listens at school when he is being taught. The audience can see by the look on his face he looks like he is struggling and confused. He then starts to speak in his mind ‘Brian’: “I wish I listened and didn’t fall in sleep in class today. Now what am I going to do? He starts to stress and he then puts his face into his hands. ‘Brian’: “If only I could remember the name of that cool new chocolate that everyone was talking about at school. Apparently it makes you so smart…. Well that’s what Sean said.” Brian is thinking really hard of what the name of the chocolate is. ‘Brian’:  “What was the name? Chocofrogs? Chocoblogs Oh wait….. CHOCOLOGS!!!!!” The audience can see that Brian’s f

Costume As there is only one actor that is used in the advert all together, the clothing that he will be wearing will be casual, so when the audience watch the advert they will feel as if they can relate to the advert as the boy is going to come back from school and change his clothing in order to get more comfortable and then go do his homework. Props Need the kitchen table and this is going to replace the area where the boy in the advert goes and does his homework The chocolate bar to replicate the chocolate bar that the boy will be eating. We cannot use a brand of chocolate that already exists therefore we are going to buy a normal bar of chocolate and will make our own chocolate wrapper on Photoshop which we will place on the original bar of chocolate to make it look as if it our/new brand Be using the park in order to film a scene Pen, paper/book in order to replicate a scenario of the boy in the advert doing his homework

Group roles and booking's

Group roles Director/camera - Desiree No one will be in charge of the lighting as we are going to use natural lighting and not use any artificial lights as we do not have that available to use and it will not be convenient in the areas (which are the kitchen area and a park) that we are filming in the content of carrying it around/safety of carrying around the equipment. Editing -  Hamerdeep  and Shifau  Desirees Mum - Just mention one phrase Marcus (Desirees brother) - Main character playing the role of the boy doing his homework. His name in the advert will be Brain. We will not be booking for a camera in order to film as a member of our group have their own personal camera from which we are going to use to film our advert.

Risk assessment

Risk assessment Kitchen Make sure that the area is tidy before filming in order to make sure that there is not health and safety issues such as tripping over something that is on the floor The crew are cautious of where the equipment is set up and can see the set up clearly as they do not tumble over cords/tripods if used The walk to the park/ park scene Be careful when filming with the camera in public as it is a very expensive piece of equipment Keep the cord that is provided with the camera round your neck in order to prevent it falling and provide extra support when using it to film Be cautious when holding the camera

Task 1A

This is an advert from Cadbury's. I feel this will help our group as this advert is about promoting their chocolate which is what our advert is going to be about. It is also important because Cadbury's have decided to use a gorilla playing the drum as it is very random and unique. This is another advert from Cadbury's chocolate. I feel that this advert will help our group as this advert is also targeting at children. Cadbury's have used two children moving their eyebrows to make a funny approach. This advert is different from the other cadbury's advert but yet again it is random and unique which makes the advert fun for children; which cadbury's was trying to do. This is an advert from Flash. Flash has made a humorous advert using a dog. They have made this funny approach by making the dog sing which is different than other adverts. I feel that this advert could help us because they have used a dog out of randomly. We tend to
